I have to say after playing many first person shooter games out here Wolfenstein: The New Order takes the cake for being the most graphic thus far. The storyline of this FPS is built deeply in the dark history of the Nazi’s attempt to rule the world and the world’s attempt to fight and put an end to it all. In the game you are the infamous and deadly BJ Blazkowicz who’s a badass military guy that will kill anyone who even speaks or states they are apart of the Nazi military army.
This game featured a lot of cool angles including infusing the old time war elements with modern technology robots and machinery. More than anything the gameplay was right on par as well as it made sure at any level you’ll still have to earn making it to the next chapter. Many times throughout playing this title I found myself feeling like I was always in the last chapter and on my way to beating the entire game. After beating each chapter you definitely feel more and more confident that your own your way to being finish with the game as it’s not the easiest FPS to get through. So prepare yourself to play each level at least 10-20 times.
With this also being an action adventure game you definitely get a lot of those thrills as well. You’ll take on several levels where your traveling throughout Germany, underwater, and even in space to kill off Nazi scumbags and brainwashed machinery. There’s also plenty of crazy swagged out weaponry to choose from as well. The creators even made sure to put a few scenes in the game that’ll make you be like damn BJ is a bad boy (insert scene of him knocking the boots of Anya) he managed to do this several times throughout the game.
All and all this game is one of the toughest FPS’s I’ve ever played and if you are thinking about playing this soon be sure to carve out a lot of time to play this game if you plan on getting through to the end. The graphics were highly detailed and good, the music will definitely get your adrenaline pumping, and the storyline to the entire game will leave you wondering what if this shit really happened. I’d say this game is for anyone that can stomach gruesome footage like folks getting their brains blown out, limbs lost, and seeing sights that’ll even make Quentin Tarintino throw up a cow. If this sounds like something you’ll enjoy this game will be right up your alley as one to cop to play throughout the holiday season.
Personally the things I liked most about this game were all of the details they made sure to highlight. Including the simple things like actually having to manually pick every lock to a door you were trying to get through. Being able to run out of ammo completely if you don’t us moderation while shooting. Even the emotions of the characters throughout the game and highlighting the fact that these virtual folks actually have human feelings and qualities about them. Finally the way in which the scarring on the characters would show up after they have been in an explosion or been shot is pretty awesome too. So kudos to Bethesda Softworks for highlighting all of these dope details that make the game that much greater.
