Although there were a few snags towards the end of A3C this year was nothing short of amazing considering all of the incredible music that was on display along with the knowledge share that took place throughout the week. With acts like Deante’ Hitchcock, Childish Major, Lil Wayne, Wu-Tang Clan, Curren$y, Kris J, J.I.D and more it was a hip-hop heads paradise. After covering plenty of music festivals in the past this one felt way different in the sense that I could feel the energy of the crowd the second I stepped foot off of the plane and this continued until I step foot back home.
To wrap your mind on just how great of an experience this was you have to really understand the power of what the organizers of A3C are putting together each year. When you’re able to walk near the GA Freight Depot and see Deante’ Hitchcock zooming by on a Bird Scooter with his partner Few, then turn around and see Childish Major chilling in the cut enjoying the festival vibes before snapping during his own set, then ending the entire trip by bumping into Raekwon and GZA of Wu-Tang Clan, while checking out of the hotel is just plain incredible.
Many of the vendors and brand partners in attendance made the festival awesome to including Swisher Sweets, Hot 107.9, Absolut, Lyft, Toyota, etc. Among the best of the brand activations, there definitely goes to Toyota, who created an entire brand experience that gave festival goers the opportunity to choose between getting a customized laser-inscribed fanny pack, free hair cut by one of Killer Mike’s S.W.A.G. Shop barbers, or even a manicure for the ladies all while hearing music rock the grounds.
This is definitely an experience worth having if you haven’t yet been done A3C and I plan to attend again in the near future.
