The first time I encountered Sherif Mattar’s music was at Bohemian Caverns in Washington, D.C., while attending a show featuring Lydia Rene. It appeared to be an open mic and there was a ton of performances happening that evening but none of them quite grabbed my attention as much as Sherif’s. He approached the stage with a mission to make sure that everyone in the room felt his lyrical stories and energy.
Although many of the lyrics might’ve been more vulgar than the crowd wanted to hear that night, I actually enjoyed his performance and songs. The one song that really grabbed my attention was “Grammy.” After finally getting an opportunity to do my research and find his music on-line, it was great to know he was releasing a new video for the track as well. In all of its glory, you can press play and check it out.
Also, be sure to follow Sherif Mattar for future releases and tour dates. | /
