This month we bring to you Stereotapes: Kerimix 005 mixed by the multi-talented Kerim The DJ and it’s full of bangers and heatmakers. For the most part, you can find Kerim djing a party in Washington, D.C. or taking the throne after crushing his competitors in a DJ battle but no matter what it’ll always stem from the music. The Brooklyn, NY native has been djing since he was fifteen years old while taking on the local reggae club circuit in NYC, so that would explain his genuine good taste and track selection for this mix.
Currently known as the reigning champion of Washington, D.C.’s 8-3-1 DJ Battle, he lives up to his title by making sure he rocks the crowd and leaves them feeling better than ever before. Since he’s so talented he has taken advantage of plenty of opportunities to rock out at Marquee NYC, The Park at 14th, Heist DC, and more. With the way that music is going now where everything sounds the same, I can definitely appreciate a DJ that goes out of his/her way to select rare tracks to come by that are remixed heavily.
Some of the hot tracks on this Stereotape that I enjoyed the most include BBHMM (Luca Lush x BrassTracks RMX) by Rihanna, Woes (Commoninterest RMX) by Drake, Cha Cha (JDVBBS RMX) by D.R.A.M., Toot That Thang by Masego x Deffie, and U Don’t Have To Call (KERIMix Snippet) by Usher ft. Childish Gambino. This is not to say the other tracks are not great, but those are the ones that stand out to me the most while listening to this mixtape.
This mixtape is definitely loaded with some awesome artist and will definitely give you a few new tracks to add to you list of favorite songs.
