Today’s topic is a very serious and heartfelt request for donations. We here at Stereo Champions have created a team to raise money for our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in Washington, D.C (Children’s National Medical Center).
Known as the Extra-Life program, gamers are challenged to play any and all games they can for a straight 24-hour period starting on October 25th. ALL PROCEEDS GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL. None of this money will be used for or by Stereo Champions or any of it’s team members.
I don’t have kids but I do have hospital bills and they are just another stressful part of everyday life. Can you imagine what it must be like to be a child and have the responsibility of remaining positive and calm with a debilitating disease that adults can barely handle? On top of that, being the family of this child and giving everything you have to the hospital to make sure they are well cared for? Just thinking about it makes me cringe.
We are gamers. These kids are gamers. They should have the ability to grow as gamers. It’s easy for us to send them games and toys to pass time in the hospital but, now we can raise money just by playing for 24 hours. We ask that our readers please visit our donation page and donate. If it suits you, register yourselves and raise money on your own behalves. Make it a tournament, make it a party, make it a binge session, just make it something to help these children and their families.
We appreciate each and every one of you every day and we thank you for your help.
