President Barack Obama released not one but two playlists this morning on Spotify. Despite hi sdocumented appreciation of Jay Z’s music, it’s a wonder that the playlist wasn’t featured exclusively on Tidal first, hidden in away from the masses by a nice fee in loss-less playback glory.

Admittedly, I thought that there would be a few strange tracks, but his diverse (and great) taste isn’t overlooked in his day or evening playlist. From Erykah Badu to Coldplay, with a smattering of Black Star, Sly and the Family Stone, Lauryn Hill, Van Morrison, and Frank Ocean (maybe now he’ll want to release the album we’ve all been waiting for since, you know, even the POTUS must be looking out for it) it won’t be a far stretch to say that you could press play and be pleased.
Whether you’re parlaying in the hazy sun during the day or cooling off with the evening breeze, get a taste of President Obama’s ear candy and find even more ways to connect with the Head of State. After all, there is much to be said about a man when perusing his top music choices.
