Well, that didn’t last long. This time last year, DC-based ska-punk outfit Kill Lincoln was playing their farewell show to a packed crowd of rowdy fans at the Black Cat. A year later and they’re back with a new track titled “Second Cities”.
The song begs the question “Is this everything you wanted?” Lead singer Mike Sosinski asks the question in one of their more introspective songs as he contemplates if the decision to leave was worth it. Second Cities was recorded and edited between Tuscon and Oakland over the past year as the band, despite being on hiatus, couldn’t keep the passion contained, no matter how far apart they were.
Kill Lincoln is back on tour starting this Friday, kicking things off at the Black Cat once again. If you’re looking for a good time, this is one show you can’t afford to miss.
