This year, I had the pleasure of attending 2016 Pancakes & Booze DC, that was held at Penn Social and I must say it was a nice turnout. We’ve coveredPancakes & Booze DC initially last year and it was cool as well via my fellow Stereo Champion, Justine. If you’ve never been to this event I’ll give you a quick rundown: Pancakes & Booze is a touring art showcase event in which 50+ emerging local artist (from each city respectively) display and showcase their artwork, most of the artwork is even up for sale. To make things even better, it includes a free all you can eat pancake bar at the event which gives you an easy way to soak up all the booze you’ll most likely consume while walking around jamming to the tunes the DJ is spinning. This along with the fact it was held at the always hip Penn Social was the icing on the cake for a perfect Thursday night before the snowpocalypse. I even met a few artists showcasing their work, all of which were really cool and fun to talk to.
If you live in the DC Metro area sadly this event is only held for one night then heads to the next stop on its tour. If you don’t live in the DC Metro area then there may be hope for you still. Click here for their remaining schedule and also check out a few of the flicks I managed to snap in between stuffing my face with free pancakes.
