Now it’s easy to see that 2017 is definitely going to be the year for lyrical emcee’s to take the crown. I believe it’s good to have party music and just chill and have a good time but messages are starting to be of value again. Thankfully, the southern rapper, Nick Grant has shared his latest work, Return of The Cool. ROTC, features many tracks that’ll leave you feeling good, complex, and motivated.
Prior to releasing the album and attending a release party in Atlanta, GA; Grant took some time out of his day to link up with fans on his Instagram account to gauge expectations and promote ROTC. He laughed, joked, and even made fun of some of the questions that were being asked but he always made sure to show respect to his fans that showed him love during the live session.
When asked which song on this project meant the most to him he stated, “I really like Gotta Be More featuring his good friend, B.J. the Chicago Kid; he’s like a brother to me and I have a lot of respect for what he does.” With that being said the first track I wanted to hear on the album was definitely Gotta Be More and I can definitely say it’s definitely one of the smoothest tracks on the album.
On this project, you can expect to enjoy 12 wonderfully put together hip-hop tracks with bars full of truth and knowledge. Grant is bounded to have a great year and we’re definitely looking forward to what’s to come for the skilled emcee. Also, keep your eyes peeled because Grant has plans to increase the number of ears listening to the album as he graces, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday, January 16, 2017. He will also be sure to put on an amazing show while on the main stage as well.
If you haven’t already you will definitely want to check out our latest mixtape, Stereotapes Volume 007 powered by MarcNFinit, which features Grant’s banger, Luxury Vintage Rap. Definitely make sure you give that a listen after giving, Return of The Cool a throughout listening.
