Stro comes strong with his latest release titled, K.I.N.G. (Keeping Ignorant N*ggas Glorified) featuring Bishop Nehru by actually putting a message in his music that can’t be denied. “It’s time to listen up take off your rented leather, put down your white cups, hop out your lambo, take off them fake chains. We on TV like we don’t got no brains.” —Stro. I love when you see young artist tackling issues that live in society that people tend to ignore and act as if they don’t exist. I can get behind that 1000% and def hope all of you Champions enjoy this one and take heed. Knowing that wealth is not of the pocket but of the mind.
I’m just trying to save all of our slaves again. —Bishop Nehru
The visuals for his latest video shows the big homie Stro highlighting iconic pictures from the 60’s featuring scenes of him dressed as Malcolm X with the machine gun and Bishop Nehru highlighting the Black Panther movement. They both crush their scenes and the last person I saw do this well was Mickey Factz with his Detroit Red music video. The entire theme of the video is on point, showcasing how the youth glorify and fiend over things that often enslaves us all over again. He finishes the video with a famous speech from brother Malcolm X which closes the video leaving you to really think about where all of this self inflicted hatred and slavery really originated.
N*ggas hearing everything I’m saying but still nothings going to change. —Stro
Overall this is a tight video and the lyricism and thought put into this track is second to none. I’d also like to give a huge s/o to Ife Finch for the dope production, Jen for the tip and Grade A Tribe Records.
