Most people know June 8th to be the birthday of Kanye West, but he’s not the only multi-talented artist to share that day. Virginia native also brought in his birthday turning the big 2-3 and he was feeling quite generous. To make the day even more special the saxophonist felt it was time to give fans a look inside the mind and evolution of Uncle Sego by releasing Loose Thoughts EP. Since the 2015 release of his collaborative project alongside Medasin titled The Pink Polo EP he’s been on a roll popping up all over the country performing at numerous concerts and festivals. With no official project since then he’s been keeping fans satisfied by dropping various covers and remixes via his SoundCloud.
Loose Thoughts EP is a compilation project consisting of 11 tracks that range from freestyles, old tracks and even tracks that were recorded within the last 24 hours. While sitting down with Vibe Masego explained the thought process behind his latest project:
“The premise for the whole thing is to come out with a project that does the same thing that Frank Ocean’s [The Lonny Breaux Collection] did. It felt very demo-ish but it shows [his] full capabilities and was a really cool introduction to someone.”
