Magazeen perfectly depicts America’s black phobia as local police struggle with excessive force and trigger happy policing against its’ citizens. “My Town” shows how photo journalism has made its way to your town, reenacting scenarios of citizens capturing video recordings of multiple lives that were lost due to over zealous policing in communities across the United States. On the bright side, if there is even a bright side many citizens are taking reporting to a new level by video recording their neighbors, passer byers and even their own encounters with police; then submitting the footage to local news stations for investigation. “My Town” is an eye opener in two ways; the video illustrates the world is unsatisfied with policing methods and that everyone is paying attention exposing inequality every second of the day.
