This week we bring to you a smooth love track by the big homieMackenzie Thoms out of Los Angeles. He’s been making much noise lately as he’s been able to showcase, the grit of anxiety and influences of yesteryear’s troubadours. His debut single “Conviction” premiered on NYLON and also climbed to #1 on Hype Machine’s popular chart and was included in Spotify’s coveted New Music Friday playlist.
“Do Me All Again” is Mackenzie’s follow-through track and it’s full of good sounds and digestible vocals. On this track you can expect to hear silky trappings of a down-tempo ballad, the chilling harmonies and gospel undertones. From beginning to end, the music enchants you while the lyrics mesmerize you with his smooth R&B melodies.
When asked about what the song is about, Mackenzie answers, “Do Me All Again, is about the difficulty of being in a relationship. Basically, me asking the other person if being with me was worth the heartache.” Now this comes right on time for all of you champs out there that’s either losing lover or looking for love on V-Day. “When I wrote this song it was with 2 of my friends when I was in a moment of vulnerability. I really wanted to be express my situation at the time. So that’s what I did. I hope when people listen they realize that nobody should ever be with a person who’s only giving or getting half of themselves,” says Mackenzie Thoms.
I totally relate to what Mackenzie believes about a relationship and love and maybe that’s why his music resonates with me so easily. I always tell people when you’re in a great relationship you’ll know because there will be no questions about whether you or the other person is 100% committed to each other. More than anything definitely press play and enjoy the track and be sure to support Mackenzie Thoms’ future projects. Keep winning.
