There’s been a lot of hype for Lollapalooza’s 25th anniversary this summer, starting with the fact that it is now four days! The lineup was no exception and was definitely worth the hype. I wasn’t sure if I could last 4 days partying in Chicago’s summer heat, but this lineup made the decision easy for me. There’s no way I could miss out on a day and miss the opportunity to see some of these hip artists.
The headliners are unreal. Throwing it back to Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Jane’s Addiction. Not to mention the amazing Lana del Rey will be there and 1975 will undoubtedly sing my ultimate favorite song of theirs, “Chocolate.” Disclosure will be there along with J. Cole and G-Eazy. Plus, there will be 8 stages to fit the amount of fantastic artists and talent Lolla is bringing to Chitown.
You can’t miss this four-day event from July 28th through the 31st! Lolla will be bringing us nonstop music day in and day out, plus a chance to enjoy Chicago’s famous deep dish pizza (I recommend Giordano’s). There is going to be 170 performances from 11am until 10pm each day. The hype was so real that 4-day tickets sold out on the first day for $335 and 1-day tickets sold out for $120. However, there are plenty of chances to buy these tickets from people selling them.
Lolla is bringing food from 35 award-winning chefs and sponsors with free giveaways. There will be bars and concessions throughout Grant Park. Plus, children under 10 can get in for free and enjoy Kidzapalooza! Still not sure about dropping this much cash for a festival? Check out the craziness that happened last year, and imagine 24 more hours of live music and insane performances! I mean, do you really need an excuse to come to Chitown?
