This week in music has been quite special considering the fact we had the opportunity to sit down with the Grammy Award-winning, Grace Weber. She has a voice that will melt anyone’s heart and her spirit exudes nothing shy of greatness. The Milwaukee native and NYU graduate opened up for Thirdstory and gave an incredible performance at the infamous 9:30 Club here in Washington, DC after just wrapping up a tour with Chance the Rapper in South America.
During her performance, she managed to perform many of her singles including More Than Friends, Elated, Space Jam, and Solitary. The most notable thing from her performance was the intense love that Weber received from the crowd as she continued to embrace the love being given by raised hands, smiling faces, and the occasional super fans that recited every word to each one of her songs. One of the sweetest parts of her performance included her doing a cover of Daniel Caesar’s hit song, We Find Love from his Freudian album, with the fans that packed 9:30 Club.
After the show, we had the opportunity to meet clearly one of the most talented singers of our time, Grace Weber. She shared with us a personal story about her grandparents that was never before heard by her very own manager, the essence, and purpose of her non-profit The Music Lab, and what we can all expect from her upcoming album that’s being produced by Nate Fox, Nico Segal (fka ‘Donnie Trumpet’) and Peter Cottontale of the Social Experiment, all Grammy Award Winning producers on Chance the Rapper’s ‘Coloring Book’.
