Wait, Wait, Wait don’t get me wrong Bryan Mills is a “G” on all types of levels in the movie Taken, but when you take his skill level and add the smoothness of Marvin Gaye that’s when you have the deadliest man on earth. Robert McCall single handedly disassembled an entire empire in one movie and if I recall correctly shot one person. So, I have to amend a previous statement, when you take the killing skills of Bryan Mills, the crafting skills of Macgyver, and the smoothness of the late great Marvin Gaye it makes him the deadliest man on earth.
The movie itself was pretty long, but had me glued to my seat the entire time, so I’m not complaining about the length of the film. For MAN Effects, there was definately enough explosions, bones breaking, shit talking, “Oh I didn’t know you could kill someone like that and get away with it” moments throughout the movie. I still think it lacked a good car chase but hey we can’t win them all. It actually had a good moral to the story too so s/o to the writers on this flick. “The two most important days in our life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”
The plot of the story features, the retired secret agent Robert McCall (Washington) helps innocents who are in trouble. When a young prostitute (Moretz) is beaten up, McCall kills her pimp and starts a war with a Russian Mafia faction. I wish we could say this was a surprise but then again he seemed to do the same in He Got Game lol.
