Wale, released a visual for his single, Groundhog Day, and it’s extremely insightful. Like literally this visual will make you gain an insider perspective to who Wale truly is. As always, he’s wearing his feelings on his sleeve, speaking his mind in the best way he knows via music, and showcasing the true Wale, the one we all know that loves the people and spread love to those that love him.
While making a pit stop in Los Angeles, he tackles Hollywood Blvd and spends times with fans, street performers, and even manages to coast through the city on a tour bus. It feels good knowing that this is genuine especially after having worked and see Wale in action at the Georgetown University’s Hoya Madness this past year. Even though he’s a superstar he somehow even found time to dap me up while I was working the game putting together graphics and doing social media for Georgetown University. That moment might not have meant anything to him but to me it was a confirmation that he appreciated everybody in the room even those that work in the shadows.
What takes this visual to the next level is when he has the video turn off and he goes into a poem reflecting on his career so far, fake friends, label battles, and depression. We def took note and we hope that everything continues to go well for Wale as he has a lot of people counting on him and his influence is much greater than being accepted by few.
