Histo, one of the hottest Baltimore producers is coming fresh off the high of the Trillectro Music Festival and he’s teaming up with Destruckshawn to put on a wild and crazy show with their weekly show titled, Psych’d Out. This show will definitely be dope as it’ll bring out all of the champions of Baltimore to come together and have a good time.
Dru Hill At The Howard Theatre // September 9
One of the hottest 90s R&B group will be taking the stage at the famous Howard Theatre to put on a show like never before. Sisqó, Niko, Woody, and Jazz will take all 5 steps to make sure all the times you wished for come truth in the Chocolate City. Rallo Presents Pure Comedy At Pure Lounge // September 9
This month one of the dopest DMV comics take the stage with his team to bring you nothing but none-stop laughter at Pure Lounge. Rallo Boykins teams up with Jacques Kindle, Larry Lancaster, Ashley Mayo, Chris Milner, Chelsea Shorte, and Haywood Turnipseed Jr. to make you laugh until your stomach hurts!
Madonna At Verizon Center // September 12
The Pop-Icon, Madonna will be rocking the stage at Verizon Center to put on a show for her fans to remember. I’m sure she’ll perform her classics from the past including ‘Like A Virgin‘, ‘Like A Prayer‘, and also ‘Bitch I’m Madonna‘ which was recently released on her Rebel Heart album this year.
ZZ Ward At Baltimore Soundstage // September 12
ZZ Ward will be bringing her Love And War Tour to Baltimore this month and I’m sure it’ll be a show you’ll want to make it to. Her sound is beautiful in the sense that she’s able to infuse it with a stadium music vibe along with hints of country here and there. Make sure you grab your tickets early as I’m sure this show will sell out quickly.
Life In Color: Big Bang The Creation Of Color // September 12
Life In Color will be one hell of a show! Every year people come together to have a big ass party and throw paint at each other while enjoying great music. This year the music will be provided by Adventure Club, Seven Lions, Jauz and more! You’ll def want to bring an extra set of clothes to this event with you as you’ll get covered in paint and have an experience you’ll always remember.
If you’re into wine tasting and good music you’ll definitely want to check out the DC Wine Fest. I’m sure there will be tons of Red and White wine to enjoy and there might even be a few surprises.
The DC State Fair will be full of awesome events including a Pet Parade including a TBA celebrity pet, Best Bud, Best Cut Flower, and Best Compost competitions will be held as well. If that’s not enough excitement for you there will also be a pie, honey, pickle, and homebrew competition as well. With most DC events the food trucks will be there along with awesome music and face painting.
Melanie Martinez & Handsome Ghost At U Street Music Hall // September 13
Melanie Martinez has been making a lot of noise with her tracks, “Pity Party” and “Cry Baby“. I’m sure this show will be dope considering the fact that she knows how to pick awesome beats and her voice is chilling. This is definitely an event you’ll want to check out if you’re interested in adding a new artist to your playlist. She won’t hesitate to make sure you know it’s her party.
Rita Ora At U Street Music Hall // September 13
After making an appearance in Southpaw, Rita Ora will be bringing her talents to Washington, DC to share with the city. After much success with her songs, ‘I Will Never Let You Down‘ and ‘Poison‘ she’s bound to have a great show especially when it’s co-signed by the 9:30 club.
Stromae At Echostage // September 16
The ultra-dope EDM DJ will be rocking the crowd at Echostage and making sure his mark is made. For this Stromae event, you’ll definitely want to make it, as I’m sure the light show and fans will be going wild and crazy. Plus he’s tremendously unique.
The Internet At The Howard Theatre // September 18
The cool sultry R&B/Hip-Hop-esque band will be taking the stage to share their latest sounds from their project “Ego Death” and more. They have so many tracks that are smooth and chill I’m already predicting this to be an awesome show to checkout this month. All of the individuals in this band are extra talented and you’ll definitely want to catch them while they are in town.
Vacationer At U Street Music Hall // September 18
The smooth voice of the Vacationer will be gripping a mic and rocking a crowd at U Street Music Hall and I’m sure it’ll be a good time. Especially if he performs his awesome song ‘Good As New’. That track is simply amazing and the sample is dope.
Viceroy At 9:30 Club // September 18
The cool sound of Viceroy will smash the speakers and monitors at 9:30 Club with the dope sounds of his tracks ‘Impression Of You (feat. Patrick Baker)’ and ‘Back at the Start (feat. K. Flay). His sound is definitely one of the coolest ones out right now and it’ll give you a fun thrill-filled vibe.
Julio Bashmore At U Street Music Hall // September 19
The ill mega-producer Julio Bashmore will be ripping the stage at U Street Music Hall and you need to be there! Why, you might ask. I’ll put it this way, his music will make you rock the entire night and you won’t be dissatisfied. Trust me. There will also be performances by YouAndEwan and Trev-Ski.
The annual Baltimore Seafood Fest will take place from 12 noon to 7pm at Canton Waterfront Park in Baltimore and it’s bound to be filled with fun and good eats. Baltimore is definitely known for their tasty crabs and seafood. This might also be a great day to head out and get some fresh air, take in views of the water, and drink a nice cold brew.
The Washington Capitals Vs. The Carolina Hurricanes // September 21
With much excitement what better way to kick-off the fall then to see Alex Ovechkin and Nicholas Backstrom go after the Carolina Hurricanes to start the season with a victory. Also, who doesn’t like running through the metro drunk and yelling “Let’s Go Caps!”.
The Washington Nationals Vs. The Baltimore Orioles // September 21
As always it’s great to catch a Battle of the Beltway game. The rivalry between the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles have been brewing non-stop and this game should definitely full of entertainment as Bryce Harper and the Nats take on Adam Jones and the Orioles. There will also be a Calvin Coolidge Bobblehead giveaway for the first 25,000 fans. Did I also mention that Bryce Harper has a pretty awesome song thanks to DJ Chris Styles feat. FatBoiz called ‘Bryce Harper‘?
Ed Sheeran At Verizon Center // September 22-23
The real life LEGO-man himself will be hitting DC to share his voice with the good people of the city. His sound is very cool and he’s pretty awesome on a guitar. If you’re into a soft rock you’ll definitely enjoy this show.
Tori Kelly At Rams Head Live! // September 24
Tori Kelly is bound to put on a great show after doing such a great job on her latest album Unbreakable Smile. She’s been making a lot of noise with her tracks ‘Nobody Love‘ and ‘Should’ve Been Us‘ and I can truly say they are both bangers in their own rights. I really like the fact that she’s not afraid to infuse Hip-Hop into her tracks as well.
Marian Hill At U Street Music Hall // September 25
Wow, is the first word that comes to mind when I think about Marian Hill’s music. Her voice is definitely unique in its own way, but her production selection is on point as well considering the fact that it carries a sound that rivals Timbaland’s 90s R&B and Hip-Hop vibe. Check out her song ‘Got It‘ and you’ll understand.
Brain Rapp & Nature Boi At 8X10// September 25
The ill producer Nature Boi and lyrical Brian Rapp will be rocking the stage at 8×10 and you want to make it to this show! Hot of their new release Elevator Music which features songs for everybody it’s definitely one of the dopest projects out right now in the DMV. It’s suburban rap Hip-Hop, but it’s definitely fun to jam out to. You’ll also love seeing these two perform together and seeing Nature Boi perform his new track Uhh is worth it alone.
R. Kelly At The Verizon Center // September 26
The pipe-piper of R&B Mr. R. Kelly himself will be at the Verizon Center to show out for the night. He’s been doing a lot of experimenting with this new sound that’s been really popular in Hip-Hop now with his new track ‘Happy Birthday‘, so there’s no telling how this show will turn out haha. Overall, I’m sure he’ll be performing some of his classic tracks and make the crowd go crazy.
Made In The DMV Presents Bounce Beat Battle // September 26
Made In The DMV will be hosting a beat battle that will be calling out all of the best producer and DJs of the area to show and prove they have the skills to make the hottest beats. The event will be held at the R.I.S.E. Demonstration Building and I’m sure it’ll be awesome especially for the producer that will claim the $100 cash prize.
If you remember enjoying AIM, Ninja Turtles, Adidas Snap Offs, Choker Necklaces, and Slap Bracelets you’ll definitely enjoy one of the biggest 90s events ever to take place in the nation’s capital. On this day, there will be hella tipsy people running through the streets to enjoy the $2 beers, $3 drinks, $4 shots, and $5 energy vodka drinks. Landmark Music Festival // September 26-27
Charge up and be ready to come out to the National Mall to see The War On Drugs, Miguel, Wale, Drake, and more rock out in the nation’s capitol this weekend. This will definitely be an event you’ll want to get tickets to for the simple fact that there will be so much star power in the city and the line-up’s diversity.
