The highlight of E3: Day 2 – Microsoft’s Hololens.
After a false glimpse over six years ago, The Last Guardian reared its demo once more in anticipation of its PS4 release. The visuals are stunning as well as the architecture. My only qualm is that in gameplay, it seems that the bulk of what the main character did was call for his Appa-esque companion to stay close rather than moving about the map. The trailer, of course, shows otherwise but the final product will put all doubts to rest when it comes out in 2016 (or will there be another 6 year delay? The world may never know…)
The long awaited Shenmue 3 made its debut via trailer (check it out here) after keeping the community in the dark about whether the series would have another segment. Yu Suzuki announced the Kickstarter campaign that placed the comeback of the highly anticipated sequel into the hands of the fans. And they did not let him down.
But there’s more:
- Dark Souls 3 will be releasing the final game in the series. (trailer here) The release date is to be announced and there isn’t much information on the gameplay just yet – but we do know that there will be ‘swordfighting arts,’ customizable playing styles, and human sacrifices.
- SouthPark:The Fractured But Whole (trailer here) was debuted as the sequel to The Stick of Truth. Expected to be released on PS4, XBOX One, and PC in 2016, the RPG will feature the crew as superheroes battling evil foes.
