Dishonored 2 put on quite a show at E3 this year and has everyone highly excited and ready to get their hands on this prized release. After seeing just how much detail went into the combat scenes, defining the main characters’ super powers, and the overall character design, Dishonored 2 will definitely be projected to have high sales this month. The fact that this game will be giving gamers the power to play the story they desire is enough to convince any hardcore gamer this is a release they’ll want to grab.
Dishonored 2 is an action-adventure role-playing video game that’s being developed by the mega-talented Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. I’m looking forward to this year’s gameplay which includes being able to play as either Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano, who are the princess and the protagonist from the original Dishonored. What makes this very cool to me is the idea that they both are able to take on the same set of missions even though they’ll both have their own perspectives and experiences. Therefore, this leaves their reactions and executions to proceed throughout the levels interesting and almost makes you feel like you can replay the game twice and not feel like you’ve done the same exact mission over and over.
Corvo Attano will still have his supernatural powers from the original game but it has also been confirmed that there will be upgrades as well with a deeper and extended gameplay experience. Emily Kaldwin, on the other hand, will be given a new set of powers including “Far Reach” which allows the player to travel further distances without physically moving anywhere. This is similar to the “Blink” power that Corvo used in the original game. What I’d like to see in this game is for the level of difficulty to bump up a few notches as the previous release wasn’t too challenging.
For this game, the plot takes place 15 years after The Dunwall Plague, leaving the Empire to plunge into chaos after Empress Emily Kaldwin is suddenly dethroned by an enemy and becomes an outlaw to society. With the determination to claim it back, Emily channels her inner Corvo Attano to become an Assassin, while in pursuit of claiming her city back! It serves as the sequel to Dishonored and it’s expected to be released in 2016 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
I personally believe that this title just might be one of the best titles to come out this year considering the level of detail, effort, and creativity that went into developing the characters and levels.
