Did you miss me?! Ha, I missed you guys, too. It’s been a while, but before we catch up, there’s new music to discuss. From classic mixtapes to progressive albums, Big K.R.I.T. continues to keep the fans warm with his southern hospitality over the years. After what seemed to be a mainstream let down on his debut album,Live From The Underground, K.R.I.T. regained his footing in Hip-Hop with his sophomore release Cadillactica in 2014 and the DJ Drama-hosted mixtape, It’s Better This Way, in 2015. And as Big K.R.I.T. prepares his third , it’s tough for supporters to sit with music before we we want more in this fast paced era of music intake. Luckily, our prayers were answered yesterday with new tunes to hold us over.
March 28th marked the five year anniversary of Big K.R.I.T.’s critically-acclaimed mixtape, Return of 4eva. Being the project that caught the attention of many heavy hitters around the music industry, the Mississippi native is surely thankful of where it’s taken him so far in his career. And to celebrate the glorious occasion, Big K.R.I.T. dropped a new song on Soundcloud, “So Bad”. The self-produced cut is a soulful, bass-knocking (as expected) track of reminiscing on old times and the hunger of getting to your dreams. If you ever wanted something so bad, this record is one you might want to keep in rotation — I know I will. With that said, plug in your headphones and press play. You won’t be disappointed.
