It’s always the same argument when choosing a movie with your significant other. The guy wants more action and horror while the girl often wants comedy and romance. It proves to be extremely difficult to compromise. The conversation goes something like this:
Guy: “What do you want to watch?”
Girl: “You can decide. I don’t care.”
Guy: [lists 10 different movies]
Girl: “Actually can we watch… [lists 10 different movies; all Rom-Coms]?
If the guy knows what’s best for him, the night will end with a nice romantic comedy. But who says he can’t enjoy it as well? Here are 3 Rom-Coms that will satisfy everyone and eliminate this repetitive (and annoying) conversation.
He’s Just Not That Into You
This is one of my all time favorites. It starts by introducing various different couples, and the characters are followed throughout the movie. This movie attracts girls because of its cast, which includes Bradley Cooper and Ben Affleck. However, guys have plenty of reasons to enjoy this cast as well; the starring actresses are Jennifer Aniston and Scarlett Johansson. The couples are extremely relatable, and it isn’t just sappy love stories the whole time. This movie has characters that can relate to almost every type of person in almost every type of relationship. Check this movie out! You won’t be disappointed!
Friends With Benefits
The plotline literally revolves around sex. Plus, let’s face it, it’s every guy’s dream: all the benefits of a relationship without the effort or commitment. And I’m sure your guy won’t complain about having to watch Mila Kunis for a couple house. It appeals to girls because it portrays a friendship that turned into more, and Justin Timberlake is really romantic in the movie. Plus, who can forget about the epic sex scenes?
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
This movie is great for girls because it gives them hope that they can recover after a breakup. For guys, the one-liners are hilarious and Kristen Bell is a goddess. Also, it ends with the average Joe succeeding in his love life. If you’re looking for more comedy than romance, look no further!
