Here’s a dope track titled, Can’t Run by GQ of the Jamla Records family. This song is from his project E 14th, and it’s every bit a piece of greatness. If you listen closely you’ll find bars on top of bars with punch lines that’ll make you say, “well damn!” If that’s not impressive enough you’ll definitely connect with the visual as GQ keeps it true to himself and his roots.
“Magic flow, penny before the knee pain.” — GQ
The Oakland native and former NCAA basketball champion hold no punches as he laced each bar with a haymaker bar. “Man, I do this well like Patti LaBelle makes pies,” says GQ. Then he follows that with “Pray for me, man I’m tryin’ to raise hell but pay tithes”. If that’s not cold I don’t know what is mang. Beyond that, you got to always love it when an artists keep it real and post up on a Mitsubishi Lancer with their real friend’s verses a rented sports car with people they barely even know. I’m definitely looking forward to new music from GQ as he continues to grow into a dope artist.
