Every year when you start noticing that the price of flowers have jumped up 300% at the grocery store in late January you soon realize Valentines Day is right around the corner and primetime marketers are leaping at the opportunity to sell the idea of ‘buying the love you feel you rightfully deserve from the one you admire’. It has always been quite funny to me that people will go to wild levels to prove to someone they love them but that’s what we are constantly taught our entire life. Luckily, through experiences like falling head over heels while discovering new love or experiencing the exact opposite and the elephant in the room (heartbreak). These experience birth great music.
Insert Frances Rose, they are a New York City electro-pop outfit which consists of Sarah Frances and Michelle Rose Cagianese. As dual vocalists, songwriters, and producers, the sisters are known for a dynamic sound which deftly blends a wide range of influences including R&B, indie rock, grunge, and contemporary chart-pop. With the release of their track Dangerous they are touching on a subject that so many people can relate to, falling in love. Here’s a fun track to listen to if your cruising through the city, riding on a plane to your next destination, or simply in the mood to be moved by good music.
If you’re feeling their music you’ll definitely want to check out their well-received debut single “Vampire,” released on Kitsuné and their track “Questions” in collaboration with Brooklyn’s Chordashian. You’ll definitely want to keep Frances Rose on your radar as I’m sure they’ll continue to make noise and carve a lane for themselves in this ever growing music industry. Keep winning.
